Zerhusen Kartonagen improves planning with OMP for Packaging

OMP for Packaging in its production facility in Damme. The German paper packaging company was looking for a solution that could not only be seamlessly integrated with their brand-new corrugator, but also with their current Minda conveyor and Boxsoft ERP system.

Zerhusen now uses OMP for Packaging for master planning, corrugator optimization, detailed scheduling, shop floor integration and management reporting. Next to these standard OMP modules, Zerhusen also included Quality Tracing, Pallet Label Printing and Attendance to meet their shop floor system requirements.

OM Partners’ comprehensive and fully integrated solution was implemented in two phases. In the first phase, the implementation of the planning and shop floor integration of all conversion machines was done. After a period of adjustment for the end users, Zerhusen’s new corrugator was installed. The second phase focused on the challenge of connecting this new corrugator to the planning system, and automatically managing WIP (Work In Progress) between the corrugator and the conversion department. 

With this integrated planning solution, Zerhusen was able to include their new corrugator in the existing production flow, plan all machines interdependently and make the planning visible in the entire company.
