Seamless warehouse automation for Carlsberg
Carlsberg wanted to install a robotic order-picking system in the company’s Sinebrychoff facility in Finland. Consafe Logistics and Cimcorp offered a complete automation package with seamless integration to take the guesswork out of changing from manual to automated warehouse processes.
Challenge
Installing an automated picking and loading system for Carlsberg Sinebrychoff.
Solution
Consafe Logistics and Cimcorp offered a turnkey package including systems, software, and modification. The solution provides seamless integration between Carlsberg’s ERP system and Consafe Logistics’ Astro WMS® and a connection between the WMS and the Cimcorp WCS and automation equipment.
Astro WMS® communicates with the ERP system; it streamlines work processes in the warehouse's manual and automated parts and sends picking orders to the Cimcorp WCS for automatic picking and transporting.
The solution handles and loads dollies and other types of load carriers in the beverage industry. Automatically picked and loaded goods include pallets, dollies (wheeled quarter pallets), mini dollies (for smaller shops and kiosks), single cases, and kegs.
The new setup ensures the following:
